Hello friends! I wanted to share this new print with you for a few reasons. 1) it is in the shop but 2) (and perhaps more importanty) he makes me giggle : )

A print for a little boy perhaps? And don't bow ties and glasses make everything a little but better?

One of my very best friends and her husband and 3 year old are coming to stay with us on Wednesday for about a week and I.AM.SO.EXCITED!

I love getting to show off Portland to friends visiting for the first time. Doesn't it always make you feel like a tourist in your own city? In fairness, it has been 3 years and I still feel like a tourist a lot...or at least am still fully in wonder at how beautiful Portland is in the spring.

AMAZING Pillows from Autumn Modest

My sister, Autumn does amazing hand embroidery...and she just opened her etsy shop AutumnModest.etsy.com

I am literally obsessed and lucky enough to own two bed pillows she made for me, but more are on the way for my sofa (right, Autumn?)

She hand stiches the imagery in 100% cotton floss on BEAUTIFUL textural pre-washed linen. She sews the pillow case, which have an envelope back, and she includes the insert for the pillow (which personally I prefer when I order pillows).

If she weren't my sister I truly think I would still be doing a post about them, but knowing what a perfectionist she is and seeing the thoughfulness that went into selecting the material and colors I can't help but love them even more.

OKAY, so this room I was trying to be suuuuper budget friendly and since neither the sofa nor the rug are thrifted or craiglisted I think the total is pretty darn good at $823.

It is IKEA heavy and I WISH that sectional came in grey, but $349!?! That’s crazy talk.

And I am assuming someone already owns a tv : )

I was telling a friend I think I could do an apartment for $2000 (assuming they have some things already like a tv and a bed)….so this would leave me with $1177…I wonder if I can squeeze a bedroom and office out of that…. In real life I *think* I can…in making pretty images in photoshop…a little harder…
