Yup, I'm Gonna Like It Here

We visited Laurelhurst Park after delicious coffee at Stumptown. It really was as good as everyone said it would be. I opted for a three-shot americano with a tiny bit of steamed milk and sugar. Perfect.

There was also soy cheese pizza, and an early morning bike ride for me (I'm just trying to get familiar with my bike and the neighborhood while there's not much traffic).

On tomorrow's agenda: building a shelf for my closet. :)

Happy Wednesday!

Welcome to the West Coast Ashley!
Looks like you landed in a pretty great spot!

Yay! I think Portland will suit you just fine. Was it pretty easy to find an apartment from afar?
We are moving out soon (in fact, we are going to be in town this weekend-next week, apartment hunting). I think you guys will be very happy in good 'ole Stumptown.
It's Eden!

The magazine is pretty much finished, although we are still having printing problems. I hope you like the spread:

Take care!

Congratulations on your big move to Portland! Sound like you had a lovely day coffee and pizza mmmmm

it sounds like a perfect day!

ohhh yeah, I love Stumptown coffee...it's the best!

Yay for Laurelhurst Park! I love sitting there in the mornings during the summer when it's still cool out. There are some really nice parks in NE Portland as well, and Kenilworth Park on SE Holgate is nice too. Hooray for green space in the city! Have you heard about Forest Park yet?

Happy biking!

Hey there, I am relativly new reader of your blog, but I love your artwork. I am so excited that you moved to Portland! I love Portland (being an Oregonian originally myself) and can't wait for the day i'll finally move back there. Anyway, I love Stumptown Coffee, it's the best ever, you should also check out Pepino's burrito shoppe over on 23rd. Yummy.... Anyway, enjoy the best town ever!

Glad you're liking Portland so far! I love it here so much. Sometime you should try Courier Coffee, it's roasted by a guy in town who will deliver the coffee to you by bike. They hand-draw their logo on every bag! It's really delicious, and so fresh.

So glad you had a safe move and the two of you are getting settled in. I wanted to thank you again for the great table and PRINT (you're so awesome, I love it!) and I wanted to apologize for never picking up the thingy that slides out from under the table. I've been out of it this past month and completely forgot!

Can't wait to hear more about Portland! Congrats again.

Congrats on the move and I'm so envious of the new adventure! Please post more photos daily! :)

Wow, it looks fantastic there!

I'm so SO happy for you now that the move is done! Looks like you've found your Portland wings and you're already flyin high! Good for you!!!
Take care!

Am so happy you are settling in!

Great photos! I lived in Portland for 8 years (now in Melbourne, Australia) and your photos really make me miss it!
Good luck settling in! I find once I get past the 'unpacking' stage and get to the 'decorating' stage it becomes much more fun :)

So glad that you are loving OR!!!
I miss OR terribly, lived there for 4 years!

It looks amazing!!!!!

Wow gorgeous pics, looks extremely similar to Western Springs park here in New Zealand!

Wow, lucky you! Looks beautiful.

The park is beautiful!!! Wow! Oh and the coffee and pizza sound yummy! I am glad you are having fun in your new nest :)
Have a lovely week!
♥Lisa

Hooray! Once you're settled in we should grab a pint (or two) at the Green Dragon. I want to introduce you both to Amy Ruppel and Trish Grantham, that is unless you already know them :P. A meet up will be phone.
Welcome to puddletown!

Please Ashley!

im gonna purchase a printer for my artwork, I know it has to be archival pigment ink and all that stuff, but what printer would you recommend??

hehe, I have been reading you a while ago, I just dont say anything :D sorry to bother you here

Dont miss the Art Hop this comming saturday on Alberta st. Welcome to Portland!!

Oh my gosh I guess it's been a while since I stopped by your blog 'cause I had no idea you were moving here to Portland! Wow! Sounds like you're in love with it already. :) Not sure how familiar you are with the area, but I live over in Tigard which about 12 miles or so SW of downtown Portland. My hubby and I have been here just over 8 years now.

Man before you know it, Portland's gonna be full of us Etsy artists! ;) Welcome to Portland girlie! :)
