Yup, I'm Gonna Like It Here
We visited Laurelhurst Park after delicious coffee at Stumptown. It really was as good as everyone said it would be. I opted for a three-shot americano with a tiny bit of steamed milk and sugar. Perfect.
There was also soy cheese pizza, and an early morning bike ride for me (I'm just trying to get familiar with my bike and the neighborhood while there's not much traffic).
On tomorrow's agenda: building a shelf for my closet. :)
Happy Wednesday!

Welcome to the West Coast Ashley!
Looks like you landed in a pretty great spot!

Yay! I think Portland will suit you just fine. Was it pretty easy to find an apartment from afar?
We are moving out soon (in fact, we are going to be in town this weekend-next week, apartment hunting). I think you guys will be very happy in good 'ole Stumptown.
It's Eden!
The magazine is pretty much finished, although we are still having printing problems. I hope you like the spread:

Yay for Laurelhurst Park! I love sitting there in the mornings during the summer when it's still cool out. There are some really nice parks in NE Portland as well, and Kenilworth Park on SE Holgate is nice too. Hooray for green space in the city! Have you heard about Forest Park yet?
Happy biking!

Hey there, I am relativly new reader of your blog, but I love your artwork. I am so excited that you moved to Portland! I love Portland (being an Oregonian originally myself) and can't wait for the day i'll finally move back there. Anyway, I love Stumptown Coffee, it's the best ever, you should also check out Pepino's burrito shoppe over on 23rd. Yummy.... Anyway, enjoy the best town ever!

Glad you're liking Portland so far! I love it here so much. Sometime you should try Courier Coffee, it's roasted by a guy in town who will deliver the coffee to you by bike. They hand-draw their logo on every bag! It's really delicious, and so fresh.

So glad you had a safe move and the two of you are getting settled in. I wanted to thank you again for the great table and PRINT (you're so awesome, I love it!) and I wanted to apologize for never picking up the thingy that slides out from under the table. I've been out of it this past month and completely forgot!
Can't wait to hear more about Portland! Congrats again.

Great photos! I lived in Portland for 8 years (now in Melbourne, Australia) and your photos really make me miss it!
Good luck settling in! I find once I get past the 'unpacking' stage and get to the 'decorating' stage it becomes much more fun :)

Oh my gosh I guess it's been a while since I stopped by your blog 'cause I had no idea you were moving here to Portland! Wow! Sounds like you're in love with it already. :) Not sure how familiar you are with the area, but I live over in Tigard which about 12 miles or so SW of downtown Portland. My hubby and I have been here just over 8 years now.
Man before you know it, Portland's gonna be full of us Etsy artists! ;) Welcome to Portland girlie! :)
