Hello and welcome to the world, semi-giant-but-not-nearly-as-giant-as-some-pigment-ink-printers-that-I-did-lots-of-research-to-find-and-will-love-and-cherish-you-hopefully-for-a-long-time-to-come-as-long-as-long-you-keep-your-promise and-do-all-the-wonderful-things-you-and-your-reviews-say-you-can printer. It's true I still won't use you for everyday printing like I thought was maybe possible, but limited editions and varying size prints here I come!! And yes, one day we will both look back and laugh, dear printer, at what a nightmare it was to actually get you. But those are the sort of things that will only make us closer in the future.
This is a view of Drew's side of the world. We also had to get a much bigger, sturdier desk to hold the beast. We kind of had no idea what to do, but then Craigslist and a friend came through, and we have a giant free-from-an-advertising-agency-that-shut-down white desk. AWESOME.
And yes Drew is faaaaaaaaar more organized than me. That printer would be buried under a pile of trash if I had it my way. Not my intention of course, just what would happen :)
And these two little numbers are in the shop.
This weekend I had soooo many good intentions. We had to get an accountant this year. Things are a little beyond our tax knowledge. And we started with a bang at the beginning of this year. Receipts are all organized and in order and quickbooks has begun but we are both totally dreading it. But I told our very friendly new accountant that we would try to have everything together mid- February. And yeah, ugh.
Also, a whole lot of canvases won't cover themselves. I really like the look of the vintage paper covered canvas, but each one takes 45 min to and hour and a half depending on the size and that is just the glueing. It's sort of a few days commitment.
I'm thinking having a movie/Carnivale marathon all yesterday didn't help. I wouldn't let Drew turn off the light because I kept saying "No, I'm working" and he was like "but it's been two hours and you haven't" I just couldn't let the dream die.
Tomorrow. tomorrow :)
happy sunday!
